Communications for awards, acquisitions and mergers

Telling the true story well: to judges, to customers and to your own people.

Awards

Strong award entries are not marketing spinning a story from the sidelines. They come from working shoulder to shoulder with the people who did the work, and from knowing which numbers will hold up in front of a judge.

Recent work I was part of: entries shortlisted as finalists in all four categories Unity5 entered at the IPC Awards 2026, a British Parking Award win, and Parking Team of the Year at the IPC Awards 2026, where I wrote the submission.

It is a track record that goes back further. Across travel, eCommerce technology and SaaS, including Viking River Cruises, Patchworks and Unity5, I have worked on campaigns and entries that have won or been shortlisted at industry awards.

What I do:

  • Choose the right categories and the story behind each entry
  • Interview the team and find the evidence
  • Check every figure so it can be defended
  • Write and edit the submission

Acquisitions and mergers

A deal is a communications challenge as much as a financial one. I played a central role in the communications for Unity5’s acquisition of Chipside Limited, both outward-facing and internal.

I help leadership teams think through who needs to hear what, and when: customers, partners, investors and, above all, your own people.

What I do:

  • Plan communication across audiences and timing
  • Write announcements, FAQs and briefings
  • Support leaders with internal communication, so teams hear it from you first
  • Align marketing messages once the deal is done

How we would work

Fixed-scope projects for an award entry or a deal, or ongoing support on a monthly retainer.
